You are responsible for taking decisions and shaping processes

If you have expertise in nursing and qualifications in human resources management, we at UKER can offer you a number of different options for assuming responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring that nursing standards are complied with and applied appropriately in your area and are also responsible for implementing and contributing to the continued development of our core processes in the nursing service. You take a long-term approach to thinking and planning, keeping the economic and organizational requirements of our Uniklinikum Erlangen in mind at all times. This is what you base your decisions on. In this way, you make an essential contribution to our patients’ wellbeing and ensure our UKER remains fit for the future.

As a manager, you are open, honest and fair towards your staff. You cultivate an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement in your team. Solving problems and difficulties independently is a matter of course for you. You make an effort to provide support for your staff and are able to come up with creative solutions for difficult situations.

When is the best time to start working in one of our management positions?

Taking on a leadership position in our nursing service depends on your personal ability. If you already have management experience, we look forward to meeting you and exploring your options at UKER. If you would like to take on responsibility for staff in the future, we will sit down and plan your individual career progression together.

Professional development opportunities in management

We encourage you to gain the skills and qualifications you need by investing deliberately in your continued education. This includes courses and seminars aimed at expanding your management skills or communication and moderating skills. Another option is to complete training as a nursing ward manager at our Academy for Health Care and Nursing Professions. Finally, we are happy to support you if you decide to complete a degree program in management and leadership.
