You are responsible for supporting the treatment process

Our day clinics for adults, children and adolescents offer an exciting and varied workplace and open up a wide range of different learning opportunities for you, both on a professional and a personal level. Various professional groups work together across various specialties to develop diagnostic and treatment options that are in line with guidelines as well as being tailored as well as possible to our patients’ individual needs. Treatment is often offered in conjunction with clinical studies. We mainly care over the long term for patients suffering from cancer and chronic diseases, and provide various injection and infusion therapies depending on the specialty in question. As a university hospital, our aim is to ensure and monitor the long-term success of our treatment. We are always there for our patients, caring for them with a human touch, providing them with advice and helping them cope with the challenges of their at times very severe conditions. We recognize the value of individual communication and maintaining a good relationship to our patients.

We are happy to welcome you into our team if you have completed training as a nurse or a medical assistant. Perhaps you have already extended your nursing or medical skills with work experience in one of our specialist disciplines? Or perhaps you would like to expand your basic nursing and medical knowledge and put it to good use in clinical practice in the future? Our day clinics offer a number of different opportunities. We look forward to hearing from you if you are patient-oriented and treat patients with empathy, you enjoy providing our patients expert advice in this difficult situation, and you work well under pressure and keep track of what has to be done even if several different procedures are happening at once.

Opportunities for professional development in our day clinics

Caring for our patients over the long term allows you to experience firsthand the speed of medical advances at our university hospital. You acquire extensive subject knowledge and can put it into practice in our interdisciplinary treatment concepts. This allows you to become familiar with the various roles in our treatment team and you yourself have a significant role to play in treating our patients by coordinating various multiprofessional interfaces.

In our day clinics you can learn all about complex treatment procedures in the context of university medicine. You are delegated specific medical tasks. Thanks to specific ongoing professional and personal development measures you can develop expertise in specialized topics of relevance to nursing. Or you may decide to take on responsibility as a ward manager, nursing instructor or as a specialist in one of our many and varied organizational areas.

What can we offer you?

In addition to your tariff-based pay, we offer a dynamic university allowance of 143.92 euros*. Depending on your qualifications and the profile of the tasks you are responsible for, you may also be eligible for further allowances. As a member of our nursing staff, you also profit from these benefits, and working at Uniklinikum Erlangen naturally offers a number of other benefits besides.
