The work group “Radiation Osteoimmunology” of the Translational Radiobiology (Prof. Dr. Gaipl) is offering a doctoral student position starting in June 2023. The doctoral student will be working on the effects of x-rays, cosmic radiation (mixed beam set-up) and protons on bone cells and their interaction with the immune system. A special focus will be set on age, gender and inflammatory background-mediated effects also with regard to radiation protection aspects. The applicant will work on the BMBF-funded, highly translational Junior Project TOGETHER within the NukSiFutur call.
The project will focus on gender- and age-specific osteoimmunological responses to low doses of ionizing radiation with x-rays, mixed-beams and protons.
